I'm Jami, the 'Yarn-Nerd' behind Wild Poppy Yarns. I'm super excited to be sharing my creations with you, as well as the journey. My Etsy shop is brand new - has 6 limited edition products so far, with more coming soon!
Why aren't there more you ask? Well, I had no idea how much I would love dying fiber, and I burned through my first batch of yarn in two weeks! That's when I realized that I was going to need to open a shop, because I already have more yarn than I can use, and I am eager to keep going!
My hope is that my creations inspire you to make awesome things, no matter how you use the yarn.
All of the current products available are 100% Superwash Merino Wool, Single Ply DK weight (light worsted). This stuff is amazingly soft and takes color beautifully! Since it's Superwash, it's machine washable on the gentle cycle, and dry on low. As with many other Indie Dyers' out there I recommend hand wash, dry flat whenever possible. And to protect your handmade items, wash separately or with dark colors in the first wash, as some colors may bleed, and accidentally pink socks are not much fun!

- A shiny DK yarn made of 75% Extra Fine (non-superwash) Merino Wool, 20% Silk, and 5% Silver Stellina
- And my very first Fingering/Sock Weight yarn made of 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon
